Animals

Not a whole lot going on- yet a lot going on. We are doing Track, baseball, wrestling, soccer, tap, jazz, ballet, and gymnastics. Bible Study and my DV group- all outside of the normal school day- so we are here and there.

I was just thinking about what a great day it was. O woke up and got the children to school, and spent about 1/2 hour just throwing balls and playing with 5 of our dogs on the back porch. Then I can inside and payed fetch with another one for a little while. I looked over on the bed- and Taya was sleeping with Root Beer and Teriyaki- just snug as a bug in a rug.

When we went to dance- we took three dogs with us. Toast enjoyed sticking her head out the window. I played with some of the cutest pups when I got home and was able to pet the Emu for a few minutes. Taya and I went for a ride on the 4 wheeler and stopped at the neighbors to talk to their llama and give her some loving. The whole time we could hear Charlie the goose honking at us for disrupting his quiet day. The horses and Audio our goat nayed at us to feed them, as we parked the 4 wheelers in the barn for the night.

On my way to bed tonight- I looked in and Taya and Toast are sacked out in her bed- and Domino is on the back of the couch. As I type this- Root Beer is keeping my feet warm, and Teriyaki is sleeping with Jen. I just love the animals in my life and I sure do appreciate them.

Tell me about your animals.

Root Beer- I have no idea why it is sideways

Puka will be leaving us at the end of the month because she won't breed

A wonderful puppy- still looking for a forever home

Da Kine- our new Russian CH that will be here in April- he looks like he has so much confidance.

Park Day

The weather has been so nice and I have been promising Taya that we would go to the park- so today we went. It was a little too windy for me- but what do you do when you promised? The Twins wanted to go too- so that was fun.

Dylan on the slide

Trey and Tay Tay

I did not get to scrapbook yesterday because I had to take a pup to the airport- so I made up for it today and got 17 pages done! That is 110 so far this year- that makes me happy.

One of the pages I did today
I went ahead and signed up for the 4 day cropping weekend- not really sure what to do with Taya- but Jen says we will figure it out. I am so excited- I really, really, really- did I say really yet?- enjoy going and I get so much done. It is one of the only times I get to visit with friends and talk to adults for more then two sentences.

Jen's Mom had back surgery and things are not going well- she is back in the hospital because her stomach filled with air- OK weird- so they are draining the air out....
We sold a guy to a professional race car driver from Sweden- he was really nice and his wife was hot too. :)
Taya will be 4 in three weeks- how can that be? She wants to have a ladybug party- so I ordered 1500 lady bugs for the kids to put in bug catchers- it should be fun- the boys have not had a Birthday party for years.
Had a great conversation with Bryce last night- I am so thankful for our relationship- sometimes I am a bit freaked out by what he tells me- but...at least he tells me stuff right?
Jen still loves her job at the prison- I have a funny story but will save it for tomorrow. :)

A little update

Nothing major going on in McBride world. Trey and Dylan had their last basketball game today- now baseball starts on Monday.

I went to a crop today and got 13 scrapbook pages done. That always makes me happy! :) I went to three classes and made some fun things- did not learn anything but I had a lot of friends to chat with.

The puppies are starting to leave- they went from little rats into beautiful puppies. 7 of them fly out on Monday- they were delayed because of the big snow storm back east. We still have 18 right now- 2 more leave tomorrow- so we will really be down in numbers by Monday. We did a woman fly out from MI just to look at them- she bought one but needs 3 weeks before we can ship it. It amazes me that people do things like that!

Jen bribed Taya today to be good and she would buy her a bike helmet- now she is going to wear it to bed!

I got sick last week- I was so mad- it had been since September- and it came on so fast and was so painful- by the time we got the the ER I was crying and I did not care who saw- this is so not like me. The good news is- I recovered very quick, not so much throwing up or medications- so while the pain was worse- the recovery was not too bad. Maybe it is the vitamins??? Who knows- I just would rather not be sick at all.

One of my favorite dogs- Kapu- is in heat and will not bred- we have tried everything- different males- holding her- just short of Jen holding her over a hay bale- so we may need to place her in a home- this makes me sad- it is the part of my job I hate. We have had her three years and only gotten 1 litter from her.

Jen is still loving her job- she had to watch a prisoner the other day who is in solitary confinement- he was rubbing his poop all over the walls- I could never work there. They told her to "gown up" and go cuff him and Jen said- "Oh, no way, you do not pay me enough to do that!"

Jen's mom had to have back surgery on Weds. Her disk was on her nerve so they put a screw in it- now it looks like she is going to go to a rehab place to recover and Jen is freaking out thinking her Mom will never get out- it is heart breaking to watch.

Bryce broke up with his girlfriend that I was not fond of. :) He bought her some flowers for Valentines day- I delivered them to school on Friday and she told him they had been broken up for a week but she must have forgotten to tell him- RUDE! She sure took the flowers though! I wish her luck- and that she figures out a better way to treat people.

If you made it this far- thanks- here are some pictures to enjoy.

Kapu- may need to leave us :(

Brain Bowl

We spent all day Saturday at Brain bowl. It is similar to Jepardy questions that they ask the kids and they buzz in with hopfully the right answer. Trey was the only one in it and it was not too painful for an all day event. Something different to do.

Shitty Day!

There is just no other way to describe it!

Jen and I got up early- on her day off- when it was cold outside and we would much rather stay in bed! Loaded the flat bed trailer and drove 80 miles to Denver.

We went to breakfast at Cracker Barrel- OK that part was good.

Then we went to Sam's club and bought 600 pounds of dry dog food, 10 cases of canned dog food, and a bunch of other junk.

Went to Home Depot- the tail lights on the flat bed went out at some point- so people were honking at us- because Jen likes to make sudden lane changes and drive me crazy!

Bought a new tub at Home Depot because ours is on old cast iron one that has rust stains and it is time for a new one. Get everything situated and tied down on the trailer.

Go to get Taya a canopy bed- the store is out of stock- but there is one clear across town- about 40 mins away- OK let's go get it. Meanwhile, we also find a couch we like- but they are out of stock on that too- so we figure the other store might have one. Go out to drive to the store to get the bed and our tub is GONE! Just gone- someone took out new bathtub. Who steals a bathtub?

OK now I am pissed off that I spent $250 for a tub that I do not have, have to drive across town to get a bed that costs way too much money and I am just in a pissy mood.

Get to the second store and while they are pulling Taya's bed I find a couch- in stock great- things are looking up. There is a new computer system and the sales lady does not really know how to run it- but I am patient. She charges my credit card- won't go through?? huh??? So I call the bank- I have already spent my daily limit on my debit card- well so what?- if there is money in the account let me charge away right? Nope- but I am welcome to go to a branch store and get cash out- OK NO- I want to use my credit card.

So I use a different card and buy the couch- paperwork hassle from Mrs. Idon'tknowhowtodomyjob- so I go and have them pull the couch too- well they can't pull up the ticket because....there is none in stock! They will get more in around June! At this point I am frustrated. Not to mention the bed has still not been pulled and it should have only taken 15 mins- but has been 40 mins. So I want a refund on the couch to my credit card- only no one knows how to do this...they can sure charge the card- but not give me my money back. I am trying to be nice but really losing it. If one person would have just said sorry- I might have been happier- but no- they looked at me like I had just offered to breast feed their Grandmother on Sunday!

Then I told them I was about to cancel the bed too because it was taking so long and Taya would be in college soon. Well, there was a computer problem so they had to pull the bed manually- and it took how long to figure this out? This is not my problem- and don't you pull it manually anyway when you drive the little fork lift to the spot and pull the bed out? So we got Taya's bed and left.

Just a crappy day- I am glad it is over- but I still need to buy another tub and find a couch!

Jen loves VD!

Jen has always loved making Valentine's day boxes. Up until now- she has made her fair share of robots- but this year Taya wanted a Princess Castle- so she went to work. It was pretty cute- behind each window she put a different Princess plus fish in the moat- and when she took it to Taya's school- there was one happy little girl. All the girls in the class were gathered around the box, pushing Jen out of the way so they could see it. I can't wait until her party tomorrow.

Trey did not get to make one this year- in his words, the teacher only let them do "stupid bags." That is sad because most likely this is his last year! It is not cool to be a 5th grader who gives Valentines to the class. :)

Dylan went with a new theme this year and Jen made an I-pod- she is so creative- it even has earphones. I wish I had digital pictures of their robots she has made over the years but wither I lost them, or deleted them, or who knows maybe it never really happened and I dreamt the robots.

Hope everyone has a great VD! Jen thought she could call yesterday to get dinner reservations at The Melting Pot- silly Jen of course they are booked!

HELP!

This is what my child does to her room on a daily basis- she changes clothes all day long and just trashes her room- then when you ask her to clean it up- she can't!

Is this normal behavior? It sure gets old cleaning it up!

Princess Nemo

Today was Girl's Day- every Friday Taya and I spend the day together. So today we went to Wal-Mart and I made the mistake of walking past the fish. Taya begged me for a fish- and how can you say No to such excitement? So a fish that was a mere $.28 cost $25.00 after the rocks, food, bowl, and castle.

She was so excited carrying her fishy out of the store- people were laughing at her- she is contagious. We got Nemo home, all set up and life is good- then Taya decided Nemo was thirsty- I guess it did not matter that Nemo was swimming in a gallon of water- so she gave Nemo some Dr. Pepper. I was sure surprised when I went in the kitchen and Nemo was swimming in brown water. Nemo is back in fresh water and so far 8 hours later- we are still alive. No guarantees it will stay that way!

Princess Nemo has a new Mommy!

In the background- this is the new tile I had installed last week!

She has sat here most of the day watching Nemo

Not much to say

Not a whole lot going on here at our house lately. I have vowed to scrapbook at least 10 pages a week for the year- so hopefully 600 pages by the end of the year- and so far so good. I am adding a few of the pages. I am hoping to get caught up on the kids.

Jen has been working- still loving her job. Bryce has been dating the same girl for going on 2 months now! Must be serious.

Toby is still liking the same girl too since before Christmas. Trey is going to play basketball- have not had a child in basketball for years. Dylan got an x-box for Christmas so he plays that all the time- and Taya is- well... Taya. Busy and funny.

I am not a believer in vitamins at all- think they are a waste of money- have taken them from Walmart over the years but never noticed anything. For some reason I decided to take them from the health food store- you know the kid that smell horrid and you burp vitamin dust for hours afterwards? I take 6 a day- that is a freaking lot of pills! Well since taking them, knock
on wood, I have not had one of my episodes. Is it possible that I was lacking something that was making me so sick? I am anemic all the time- need iron infusions- and these vitamins have a natural source of iron from beet juice or something. I am hoping and praying that this is the cure I need- still not a huge believer in vitamins- but I am not changing anything for fer I will have an episode.

Anyone else out there think vitamins work?

How?

How can you make your blog into a book to have published- like a digital scrapbook? Does anyone know. I was thinking of doing this every year to preserve memories because when the kids finally leave me- they will take their scrapbooks with them and I will be childless and pictureless...sniff sniff.

Seriously- anyone know?

Teenagers!

So I figure it is time for a post about Bryce! He will be 16 in April. He is a good kid most of the time. Although he does not apply himself at school, and I worry about what he will do to support himself as an adult... I was alot more work for my parents- did bad things, snuck out of the house, and oh so much more.

Here are my latest issues. I found Snus in his room over Christmas break- for those of you like myself that do not know what this is- it is chewing tobacco in little packets that you suck on. I also found a can of chew. So I kept digging. I know some of you would not agree with this- and say I have no right to look on his room- but I figure I need to be an informed parent- so I kept looking! I also found a box of condoms- all three were still there- but he had them just the same.

Now I was calm and I talked to him about these things- he said he has done some experimenting with chew but did not really like it and that the cans were expired if I looked closely at them- this was true. Then I bit the bullet and asked about the condoms- he said he bought them- he has a little girlfriend. So I said he must be thinking about sex- he said he was a teenager that is all he thinks about- I did not laugh!

I really struggled with this- I do not want to condone sex at all- but at 15 I was doing it- so am I a hypocrite to not want him to do it? I should be glad he thought about protection, right?- but I don't want him to do it at all. So I prayed about it- and I came to the conclusion that it is not my decision to make when he has sex. I got to make my decision- now he needs to make his. But do not get my wrong- I will limit every opportunity I can for him to be in a situation to have to make this decision! :)

So the teen years have hit- his girlfriend posts disturbing things on Facebook indicating she is still interested in other boys- I just try to open Bryce's mind to what is going on- but who knows how much gets in. I just hate when he gets hurt by girls- we are so cruel!

On a side note I am attaching pictures of Bryce's ingrown toenail that he just had cut out for a third time. This time he was not quit numb and he almost passed out from the pain- he went white and they had to get him some juice- it was horrible. I just want him to be little again so I can protect him from this hurt and pain in the big wide world! The scary thing is- I still have 4 more kids to go!

Owwwwww!!!!!!

Don't watch if you have a weak tummy!

I have some dog porn....I recorded Lilo giving birth to a puppy- keep in mind that I was filming, and helping, and no one was helping me- so it is a little crazy at times- but you can see me break the sac off the puppy's face so it won't drown in it's fluids.

And you all thought puppies were cute!
Lilo Gives Birth to a boy!

Anyone think this is strange?

I am not a big fan of Barbie- I think she is weird- but Jen and I got Taya a Bratz doll on Black Friday. Here she is- Taya named her "Charlie"

So I was playing with Charlie and trying to adjust her top because her boobs were coming out and I thought she might be cold- when I took off her boots- I remember as a child that I thought Barbie's shoes were cool- and Charlie had these cool boots on- so I pulled one off and low and behold this is what I found:

OK I was a little disturbed that Charlie's feet stay in the boots- anyone else think this is weird?

Dancing, puppies and steak pie!

So 2010 has started off with a bang at our house- on New Years Day we delivered 8 beautiful puppies, then today 8 more and I have another female that will deliver tonight or tomorrow- crazy I know. We have never had 3 litters at once before- one time I had 5 females in heat at the same time and I was so worried they would all breed that I managed to not get any of them pregnant- so now we just go with it and hope for the best. We have never not found a good home for our puppies- and about 14 are already sold- so I am not worried, not to mention they are sure fun!

Taya is in a dressing herself phase so I am attaching some pictures of her crazy outfits. She is also dancing all of the time- it is so funny to see her come out of her shy little shell. She is going to add Jazz class to her ballet and tap lessons this week.

Today she wanted us to call Grandma and she asked Grandma if she could come over- of course Grandma said yes- so she dressed herself and demanded we take her "Right Now" then Trey asked if he could go see Grandma and she told him to get his own Grandma. This child is a killer.

Last is steak pie that I made for dinner the other night- it is my favorite and so I wanted to take a picture.

I hope everyone is enjoying their break with the kids. 3 more days until school starts again.
