Happy Birthday Bryce!

Oh how is it possible that I have a 16 year old? I swear it was yesterday that I decided to start IVF for him. He was just born, I was just in labor for 56 LONG hours. How can my baby be 16 already?

I love you Bryce, I love the young man you are becoming, your personality, humor, and joy your bring to my life. I am proud to be your Mom- and so glad you have made my life better- by being my son! Happy Birthday!

Scrapbooking

Here are some of the pages I have been working on. I am still holding true to getting 10 pages done a week- it has made a dent in what I need to get done. I would like to have done 600 pages by the end of the year. Some pages I put a lot of work into- some I just bust out quick.

The day started out so well....

Sunday was a great day- I was enjoying the warm weather.....

Rode 4-wheelers with Bryce and Tay

Toby was being mysterious in the tree house and not letting us snap pictures of him....I think he has a meth lab in there.

Taya made sand angels at the park

Bryce found his inner child and played at the park

I even had to go put out a fire!
Then we went to see a movie- and during the movie, that oh to familiar pain in my stomach started, by the time we got home I was panicking and throwing up. Jen took me to the ER for meds. It took a lot this time 100mg of Demerol and 50 phenegran- then another dose just before we headed out. A whole day waisted in bed- on Jen's day off- and a second day of still feeling foggy. I hate this CVS beast that ruins perfect days at the park.

What do you do>

This is what the Princess wanted to wear to dance class today...what do you say? She would not take the hat off- she thinks the leg warmers are cool. One lady asked her if she was cold and she said "no just being cool"

Little girls make me laugh.

Jen is also coaching her soccer team- tonight they had their first practice- now mind you all the teams Jen has coached have had our very athletic and competitive sons on them. Taya on the other hand was throwing grass, asking her friends if her soccer shirt was cute and when she wanted to be the goalie- she was hanging on the net and the buttons in her back pockets got stuck in the net- so she was half hanging in the goal- while everyone was running down the field towards her- oh the laughs that we will get as Princess Taya settles into team sports.

Good Luck Tammy and Mark

Today my blogger friends Tammy and Mark are doing an FET with adopted embryos. Please send warm and happy thoughts to this Amazing couple that this will take.

Good luck guys- can't wait to hear good news!
Of course they could be lying to all of us and Mark is having a sex change and Tammy a vaginal lift- I guess the world will never know for sure!

From Russia, with love

This is our new Russian male- Da Kine. His Russian name is Plombir- wonder what that means? I better look it up.

He is flying from Moscow today- will spend the night in NYC- where they clean him up, play with him, feed him and then he will get back on a plane tomorrow night.

He is a champion already in 2 countries- we have waited for him for over a year- I can't wait to meet him!

Easter Baskets

OK here are pictures with the baskets- most of the kids are still in their undies- gotta love those pictures!

Thanks to all of you who pointed out that I still had a skeleton hanging from my tree. I won't even tell you how many Halloween's ago it is from. :) Still have the Christmas tree up too- just kidding.

I bet you are wondering why I do not have a picture of Dylan with his basket.... it is not because we are abusing him- but because he is a brat and decided to open and eat all of his stuff by himself before I got a picture. Good thing I took one the night before so I at least have proof that we gave him one. :)

Trey with his stash

Dyaln's basket without Dylan....

Bryce with his- nice undies!

Toby- doesn't he look happy to be posing with his basket?

Taya woke up at 5 to open her's and have a tea party!

OK, my name is Kate and I am a loser....

In case my criminal post of yesterday was not enough- I must confess to everyone what a loser I am. We had the Easter Egg hunt today! We just could not get everyone together yesterday until about 10 p.m. and I could not find any flashlights- so we did the hunt today after school, on Jen's day off, when everyone was home. I think it is funny that Bryce, who will be 16 in a few days- wanted to hunt for eggs!

I think everyone had fun though. I still need to post Easter baskets- this holiday could go on for a week on my blog!

Toby finding an egg

My almost 16 year old still finding enjoyment in egg hunting!

Bryce grabbed the egg that Dylan was after!

Trey- I swear he lives in his baseball uniform these days!

Tay Tay- it took her awhile to "get it"

I am going to jail!

I took Taya and Bryce to see the Easter Bunny at the mall. Bryce would not sit on his lap- he is a poor sport.

Taya was so excited, jumping up and down- until it was her turn- then she turned to me and said "hold you"- that means she wants me to hold her- isn't that cute? So after some coaching- I got her to sit next to the bunny and smile.

I bought the package- asked if they would sell me the .jpeg- but they would not- so they forced me to go to Walmart and scan the picture so I could have a digital copy. I do have a great scanner that Jen has never hooked up-so I have to go out in public and commit crimes of copy write fraud.

I wonder if I will get ham in jail for Easter? The inportant thing is that I now have a picture to show you on my blog. I did this for YOU! :)

Dying Eggs

I was organized this year and dyed eggs before midnight on Saturday like I usually do. It was funny- the only one excited was Taya- then half way through Dylan joined in- and when we were done Bryce was all torqued off because he said we did not invite him to join. OK in a family our size if you wait for an engraved invitation you are going to lose out! Plus he is almost 16- I guess I thought his egg dying days were finished!

I am not a fan of dying eggs because of the mess it makes.

Just wondering how old is too old to get a basket? I still make one for Jen every year- along with the kids.

Jen has to work- so we have no big plans.

Can you say suckers?

We live in a great small town- where if you get busy- there is always someone else who will take your kids to soccer, or football- or call you and see if you can pick up their kids. This happened on Monday- a friend needed us to take and pick up her son from baseball while she ran some errands in another town about an hour away.

So we went to get "T" for baseball and when we pulled up he was playing with his goat "Flower" in his front yard- not such an unusual sight where we live. I asked "T" if it was his 4-H goat and he said yes- but that his Dad was going to make him sell Flower to the neighbor's for Easter dinner. I understand that people eat goats- but not our children's goats. I said that would not happen- and when I picked him up from baseball I paid him the $50.00 going rate for Easter Flower and said we would get her the next day.

We have a goat- so what is the big deal to have one more? "T" was very sweet when we picked her up- he loaded her in our horse trailer, followed us to our farm to make sure she got settled OK- and life was good. Until Flower decided to jump out of the pen, over and over. We are figuring our ways to keep her in her pen- but in the meantime Taya is enjoying her.

(Les L.- I know you are just laughing at this post)

Audio, the brown goat, is the one we had and Mellow is the little horse Taya is feeding

It takes talent to pull off wearing jeweled Princess shoes in a horse corral!
