I hate Legos

Have you ever walked barefoot through your house, half asleep going to the kitchen while only slightly paying attention to where you are walking, when out of the blue you step on a hard plastic lego? For such a small item, it can take you out like Wayne Gretzky on a bad day. Those of you who have ever done this know what I mean.

In my day after Thanksgiving, sleep deprived state I had a moment of consumer weakness. I was at Wal-mart and there were all these crazy people standing around this bin of Lego bags. The magical moment of 5:00 a.m. came and everyone started grabbing bags like Angelina and Brad collect kids, so I had to get a bag. Now my daughter is the proud owner of 100 Legos. Yeah for my feet!

So Jen and Taya built something out of them and I took a bunch of pictures that I will post below. I am not a builder, as a child I played with dolls while my brother built things, and when he was or was not looking I would break them and knock them down and then run like h**l, but Taya seems pretty happy so that is all that matters.

I can't believe tomorrow is New Year's Eve! I hope it is a great year for everyone! May you avoid stepping on Legos.

My First blog

So I am entering the new age of blogging, OK so maybe it isn't so new, but I have been thinking about it for awhile. I have no idea who will want to read it or if I will have anything interesting to say to other people, but I have been enjoying several blogs for about a year now, so I thought I might try it. A little about myself- I am Kate- I have a wonderful partner named Jen- we live in a small town in Eastern, Colorado. We have 5 children- yup 5! 4 boys- Bryce- 14, Toby-11, Trey and Dylan-9, and finally a girl Taya-2. All born through IUI and donor sperm- myself having all of them. We breed Golden Retrievers- white ones. They are incredibly beautiful dogs and our website is http://www.goldengirlskennels.com/- I guess I should say I do most of the dog stuff. Jen works with her Dad and Brother in the Oil field business trucking industry moving oil rigs. We are extremely open about our lifestyle and will answer any questions. I will load up some pictures and really try to get this blog cooking!
I am attaching pictures of all the kids on Christmas morning.
