I got your attention didn't I? I love breeding dogs- it let's me stay home, I get to play with puppies all the time- I can pretty much buy a puppy when ever I can afford one because hopefully we will use it in our breeding program. I do enjoy dogs- but there is a downside (well many downsides)- like today- one of our females had me up all night- wanting in and out- panting in my face- but I thought she would still wait another 24 hours or so.
Today, I went to Greeley- another town about 45 minutes away so I could buy my 500 pounds of weekly dog food- ran errands, and we came home to new puppies! I know you are thinking this is really exciting- and it is- until I tell you that she had them right next to my bed- so now we have placenta juice in the carpet- yummy! Think about that squishy sound when you climb into bed.
So tonight we are cleaning the carpets and gagging from the smell in our bedroom- we get to sleep with pups whining and crying all night because they have not yet gotten the hang of nursing- and in 8 weeks after I have fallen in love with them and bonded with them- someone will come and take them away from me and rip my heart out. Did I say I loved my job?
This is what my life has become? I have scrapbooked 230 pages since Jan 1st. I am trying to get 600 done this year. I really do enjoy it- and I oh so selfeshly enjoy a quiet house- I really look forward to my Wednesday's when Jen is back at work and the brats, (I mean kids) are in school- but how pathetic am I? I mean get a hobby- oh this is my hobby! I know it could be worse- I could be an alcoholic or something- but sometimes I just look at my life and I wonder when I became so dull......
I have no idea why this is loading sideways- it is right on my computer. :)
Oh how is it possible that I have a 16 year old? I swear it was yesterday that I decided to start IVF for him. He was just born, I was just in labor for 56 LONG hours. How can my baby be 16 already?
I love you Bryce, I love the young man you are becoming, your personality, humor, and joy your bring to my life. I am proud to be your Mom- and so glad you have made my life better- by being my son! Happy Birthday!
Here are some of the pages I have been working on. I am still holding true to getting 10 pages done a week- it has made a dent in what I need to get done. I would like to have done 600 pages by the end of the year. Some pages I put a lot of work into- some I just bust out quick.
Sunday was a great day- I was enjoying the warm weather.....
Rode 4-wheelers with Bryce and Tay Toby was being mysterious in the tree house and not letting us snap pictures of him....I think he has a meth lab in there.
Taya made sand angels at the park Bryce found his inner child and played at the park
I even had to go put out a fire!
Then we went to see a movie- and during the movie, that oh to familiar pain in my stomach started, by the time we got home I was panicking and throwing up. Jen took me to the ER for meds. It took a lot this time 100mg of Demerol and 50 phenegran- then another dose just before we headed out. A whole day waisted in bed- on Jen's day off- and a second day of still feeling foggy. I hate this CVS beast that ruins perfect days at the park.
This is what the Princess wanted to wear to dance class today...what do you say? She would not take the hat off- she thinks the leg warmers are cool. One lady asked her if she was cold and she said "no just being cool"
Little girls make me laugh.
Jen is also coaching her soccer team- tonight they had their first practice- now mind you all the teams Jen has coached have had our very athletic and competitive sons on them. Taya on the other hand was throwing grass, asking her friends if her soccer shirt was cute and when she wanted to be the goalie- she was hanging on the net and the buttons in her back pockets got stuck in the net- so she was half hanging in the goal- while everyone was running down the field towards her- oh the laughs that we will get as Princess Taya settles into team sports.
OK here are pictures with the baskets- most of the kids are still in their undies- gotta love those pictures!
Thanks to all of you who pointed out that I still had a skeleton hanging from my tree. I won't even tell you how many Halloween's ago it is from. :) Still have the Christmas tree up too- just kidding.
I bet you are wondering why I do not have a picture of Dylan with his basket.... it is not because we are abusing him- but because he is a brat and decided to open and eat all of his stuff by himself before I got a picture. Good thing I took one the night before so I at least have proof that we gave him one. :)
Trey with his stash
Dyaln's basket without Dylan....
Bryce with his- nice undies!
Toby- doesn't he look happy to be posing with his basket?
Taya woke up at 5 to open her's and have a tea party!
In case my criminal post of yesterday was not enough- I must confess to everyone what a loser I am. We had the Easter Egg hunt today! We just could not get everyone together yesterday until about 10 p.m. and I could not find any flashlights- so we did the hunt today after school, on Jen's day off, when everyone was home. I think it is funny that Bryce, who will be 16 in a few days- wanted to hunt for eggs!
I think everyone had fun though. I still need to post Easter baskets- this holiday could go on for a week on my blog!
Toby finding an egg
My almost 16 year old still finding enjoyment in egg hunting!
Bryce grabbed the egg that Dylan was after!
Trey- I swear he lives in his baseball uniform these days!
My name is Kate, I am "married" to the love on my life- Jen. She makes me a better person and I love her for that. I am a Mother of 5- 4 boys and and a 6 year old Princess, all born through donor sperm. We live on a farm in Eastern Colorado where I breed and show white golden retrievers.
