Scrapbooking

Here are some of the pages I have been working on. I am still holding true to getting 10 pages done a week- it has made a dent in what I need to get done. I would like to have done 600 pages by the end of the year. Some pages I put a lot of work into- some I just bust out quick.

Crazy sleeping patterns....

I just had to share these crazy pictures of our kids/animals. Yes Taya still sleeps with us most nights- she has her own bed but she likes to snuggle.

She really likes changing her clothes- drives me crazy- this is not something the boys did. Last week Jen let her go to Awanas with her bathrobe on over her clothes. It is hard for me to let go in these situations because it is not proper- I know it does not hurt anything- but her bathrobe?

Taya loves her brothers. Bryce had a girl over and Taya was so jealous- she told us "it is time for Bryce's friend to go home" we laughed so hard at her.

Trey gets his pins out tomorrow- hopefully that will go OK.

Jen has three days off- so I am pretty happy. My biggest complaint about her new job is that I can't talk to her all day- I am used to calling her whenever I want to talk or need something- so this is tough on me. :)

We had a bit of a water problem over the weekend- I was doing dishes and the basement was flooding- so off went the water. I thought it would be an easy fix- nothing is easy in a 100 year old house. It seems a pipe broke by freezing- one that the workers knew needed to be replaced when we did our kitchen remodel- so that irks me- no one mentioned it when everything was already torn apart and easy to get to.. Now we had a sump pump installed today and we can use the water again- I just pray it solves the problem. I am sick of spending money on this house! Oh well what do you do?

This is what I woke up to yesterday

This is what Taya is wearing to bed tonight- notice the different shoes and the coat!

This is what she put on after her bath when I told her to put on her PJ's.

Brotherly Love

Taya sure makes her brothers jump through a lot of hoops for her affection. Today she required Trey and Dylan to wear pink backpacks in order to play with her. They did it! The backpacks barely fit them, but to please their sister they did it- they love her.

A funny thing...yesterday Bryce had a girl over to ride 4 wheelers- her name was Alex- all was going well until Taya saw her- then she came in and told Jen and I that it was time for Bryce's friend to go home...Taya would not talk to Alex or hug Bryce or anything- she just said she did not like her and it was time for her to go home. What a jealous little three year old....and here I thought her brothers would be the ones giving her a hard time about boys!

Life goes on

Not a whole lot going on in our lives. Jen is back and I am so happy about that. Trey and Dylan turn 10 on Sunday- not really sure where that 10 years went.

Bryce is doing horrible in school and it frustrates me- so he won't be driving. He does not seem to care though. Christmas is in 5 weeks and I have bought zero gifts!

We have like 4 females in heat- and had this huge dog fight- females just hate each other when they are in heat- plus the dogs are white- so a little blood looks so much worse- but I was sure glad Jen was home to go look- blood just really freaks me out. Toby cut his finger open to the bone about 2 weeks ago and I just can't look- I even made the Dr. cover it up at the ER with a towel. I am such a wuss.

Taya tried to flush a stuffed animal down the toilet tonight- didn't work. :)

Halloween- I know it is late!

Ok I know Halloween has come and gone but I am in a slump- so I am behind. Halloween sucked- we got a snow storm on Thursday so no school Thursday or Friday so the kids missed all their parties. It was cold for Trick or Treating and Jen was still gone- whine whine!

Haloween is my favorite holiday but not this year. Taya really enjoyed the house to house thing. She would say-"thank you, Trick or Treat" so she kind of got it. :)

Hope everyone had a fun Halloween.

I hate football

This is a whiny post....

All four boys are playing tackle football this year. Bryce is number 47 on the Varsity and JV team in high school. Both twins are number 23 and Toby is 32. I have never let Toby play because of his heart- so I am a little nervous, but working through it.

I can sum up what I understand about football in two words- NOT MUCH! I have had it explained to me- but I just don't get it- or maybe I don't want to get it who knows. I hated it as a child when my Dad would have it on TV- I hate going to games- it is always so cold- how can enjoy something when you are so cold all you can think about is a hot shower?

I love baseball and do you think one, just one of my boys would play? NO- they like stupid football. :)

Here are some pictures of them playing and a video of Dylan making a TD- this I know is a good thing.

Football takes up way too much of my life too- Bryce has practice every day after school and the little boys go three times a week- then the games Fri, Sat, and Tuesday- Sunday is my only football free day- and Jen watches it on TV sometimes on that day- ugh- have I mentioned I hate football?

Mowhawks!

Football season brings Mow hawks here. This is Dylan from the back- I need to get a front shot of him- and Bryce with Amber- Amber spiked his mow hawk. Bryce looks so big next to Amber- where did the time go? He is only 15!

Amber came down with her girls to stay the weekend. She went with us to the lake and we had a great time. It is so nice to spend time with her. I just love my kids. I am not ready for summer to be over! I am stomping my feet.

More first day of school pictures

OK I finally have pictures of the other two on the first day of school. Taya is on the wait list- so we have to wait until a kid stops going or moves- so keep your fingers crossed.

I am so not ready for summer to be over- I still want the kids home.

I was sick on Friday- Trey came home Weds with the flu and he must have given it to me- and my body sent me into an episode- so off tot he ER I went for meds and fluids- I am so sick of being a burden. Jen is great but it has to get old- it does for me. I can't imagine living my life for the next 50 years with this disease- I try to be positive but sometimes I can't.

Taya wanted her picture taken- although she is on the wait list.

Beauty Sleep

Sleeping beauty

Back float- she is supposed to have a teacher help her

Notice all the other kids have a teacher helping them? Not Taya she just jumps out and floats.
Here is the diva sleeping. She now likes to sleep with this mask over her eyes- thanks to her cousin Madison who came to visit.
We went to see My Sister's Keeper last night. I had read the book, so I knew what I was in for- but probably not the best movie to go see on the same day my Grandmother died. I was so sad.
Taya is having fun in swimming lessons- Jen wanted to put her in the baby class- I put her with the 4 year olds and she hates waiting on the other kids. Do all my kids have to be over achiever's? She just wants to swim and hates all the rules.
I was the mean Mom and put the boys in swimming too to work on their form- so they are irritated with me. Oh well that is my job!
