None sense!

I have not written a post about my crazy daughter in awhile- oh this child makes me laugh!

She loves Fancy Nancy- and Fancy Nancy uses big words- so she is always asking me for new words- lately she likes the word None sense! Instead of true or false- we play none sense and reality. Like a car has wings- None sense! The other day we went to see Yogi bear- and while the movie was pretty quiet, Yogi starts talking and Taya is laughing so loud and says- "That's None sense"- the whole theatre cracked up laughing.

This Christmas she is so into Santa and what she wants- when Jen takes her to Wal-mart, she is hiding toys that she wants behind things and under shelves- so worried that they will run out and she will not get what she wants.

When you tell her you love her she says"Aw, I love you too and I care about you."

One day she says- "Mama, you are pretty" Silly me thinking she is giving me a compliment I say, "Thanks Moo"- and she responds with- "But, not as pretty as me!"

These are just some of the crazy things my kid does. Here she is with her friend Chloe- they got tattoo's and to my horror- they put them on their necks! Who puts tattoos on their neck? My kid does.

Toby Turns 13!

I am a few days behind on posts-so I am still trying to play catch up!

On December 23rd- my little Toby turned 13! I now have 2 teenagers- how can this be? My little baby that the Dr.'s told me would not make it- to not get to attached to him, because the chances were not not good that he would survive- is a big 13 year old boy now!

Toby, you are an amazing kid, a great student, a wonderful athlete, and a very caring and giving soul. I am so proud to be your Mom. Go Team Toby! I love you!

December Game Night

I do love game night- our games nights have gotten too big, so now we can only invite a few small families over. This night we invited over Taya's dance teacher and her family- the husband is also Dylan's wrestling coach and of course Bryce and Toby's girlfriends!

I made friend chicken, a whole bunch of Christmas treats for dessert and then we played Guesstures and Pictionary. the girls made a gingerbread house and then wanted to eat it. Who eats the gingerbread house? I mean the candies yes, but the old, hard, stale gingerbread?- yuck!

Well we made our Christmas treats- we made:
Rice crispy Treats
Fudge
Hay Stacks
Choc covered Pretzels
Chex Mix
Oatmeal cookie sandwiches
Sugar Cookies
Carmel Puff corn
Spritz cookies
Baby Ruth bars
Peanut Brittle

I love goodies!

Toby, Bryce, Taya, and Bryce's girlfriend (the one in college), Megan helped me- It was sure nice having help- that has never happened in all my years of baking!

Bryce and Toby and arguing with Megan about the size of the pan- so they are trying to read what size it is- and how could I not take this picture?!

Life goes on

Not much going on- and everything going on. Jen started a new job a few months ago as a Sheriff Deputy- but she has to work nights 7-7- I am a big baby and I hate it- I can't sleep until she gets home- but then I can't sleep because I have to get the kids to school and activities and it just sucks. She really likes it much more than the prison- so I can only complain here. :)

Dylan is wrestling, Trey is in basketball, Toby is wrestling, and Bryce is working. Taya has dance and gymnastics- so I stay pretty busy. Taya does not have school on Friday and if you have ever tried to keep a 4 year old quiet- it does not work, so we try to do stuff all day while Jen is sleeping, but it is hard to come up with new ideas every week.

I have really been enjoying this warm weather we have been having- it makes me so happy to not have snow. We have a new corn stove- so I am enjoying that.

We have new puppies- and more on the way- dogs are like humans- in that they all come into heat at the same time- so we have like 4 litters due within a month. I am not complaining- just saying I will sure be busy.

I am not ready for Christmas- the gifts I did wrap and put under the tree, Taya opened. Even if they were not for her- she opens them anyway.

Bryce still does not have grades good enough for a driver's liscense- will I be driving him around until he is 30?

I think I am in a funk- maybe I need Prozac! :)

Corn Stove

Well I guess the corn stove did not work out so well. This is what the side of the house looks like where it vents. Can you say fire hazard?

I was dreaming the other night that everywhere I went people were telling me that I smelled like a cabin- like smoke- I would tell them that it was the corn stove. Then out of a dead sleep Jen is yelling- "get up, hurry, the house is filled with smoke!" Sure enough the house was filled with smoke from the stove. The hopper was on fire- so we opened all the windows and put the fire out.

This is the second fire we had in the stove- so something must be wrong with it- teach me to save a little money and order from the internet from a company I know nothing about!

So, I am trying to get my money back- but no response yet from the company and I ordered a new corn stove locally- keep your fingers crossed that this one works. I painted the side of the house and the ceiling in our bed room because it was also black but I forgot to take a picture of that.

I guess my dream was trying to tell me something- but I was not listening.
