Cheering Up!

A good way to clear my head is to scrapbook- so I made some of these cute thank you cards yesterday. Then I had this great or dumb idea to make them for all the kid's teachers and give them to them for teacher appreciation in the spring- with a gift card for coffee. I know spring seems a long way off- but I think I need to make about 30 of them, so I might as well get it finished now.

Then in case that was not enough- I dreamt about making Birthday cards. Ugh- really? So now I am thinking I will make a bunch of Birthday cards, so I already have them made up in advance.

Today I went to a dark place....

Today I woke up with really bad stomach cramps. I tried tol ay down and took some Tylenol but they were getting worse and I lost it. I was so scared that I would have another episode- so scared that the surgery and the weeks in the hospital last month were for nothing. The pain was very similar to what would happen before an episode. I was trying my bed to hide it and thinking of all the things I needed to get done today- just bawling my eyes out on the patio- playing the same tapes...why me. I finally decided that if it was an episode that I would end my life- that my family and kids would be better off spending my insurance money and I would be out of pain.

I prayed, and cried, and whines, and did all the childish things I could do. Then tried to go about my day- things still needed to get done. Jen wanted to go buy a new car we had been looking at- and slowly, so very slowly my cramping began to ease. I am forever grateful for that- but still scared to death for the next time.

any ideas?

OK my friends- this is what happens in front of our barn every time we get heavy rain fall- it is the lowest point of our property. Inside that barn is where our dogs live, and I have to walk through that lake to feed and water them not to mention they get soaked if they go outside- any ideas to drain this nightmare? I have called plumbers and they have nothing for me. At the deepest point I would guess the water is about 6 inches. Behind the barn is a road- so maybe it could be sucked onto the road- although I am not sure the city would appreciate it. :)

Michael Jackson plays football...

So, in case you have not figured it out yet- with 4 boys in football we will have lots of football posts this fall.

Bryce is a Senior this year, still hard for me to believe and he had his first game- they lost but at least they scored 2 touchdowns- more than they scored the entire season last year.

Bryce is number 47- and for some unknown reason, I guess they are cool, he has decided to wear white Michael Jackson gloves while playing. I do appreciate it though because sometimes, OK most times, I can't see his number 47, but the gloves- I can see!

I was happy to get a few action shots of him because last year due to his grades he did not play in many games- so I gotta get pictures when I can. (wink, wink)

Now if he starts to turn into an albino, I will be worried.

That is my son, with his arms around the little man with the ball- taking him down!

These are the type of pictures I have the most of- Bryce standing there.
